Pica-what... pica-who.... Picadilly by Basic Gray

When picadilly came in, I was instantly attracted to it... It screams country fair.. I love the red's, yellow and blues. Because I do not have a chance to take a lot of pictures, when I scrapbook, I scrapbook a picture that stands out to me, sometimes it's family, some times an event, or even a tree ( I love trees and leaves)... when I saw picadilly, I knew it was going to be something, something special.

This layout is on of my favorites.. It is a picture of my best friend who lives in Alberta.
The picture was taken at a annual rodeo, I love bandana accent that she is wearing , and the fact she is petting a baby calf makes the picture ideal for picadilly...

The Base is a solid blue from the collection, I used one of The Crafters workshops stencils ( chicken wire) and used studio calico's Mr Huey's white spray... in the top and bottom corner of the blue.
Using a vibrant floral I used the round sizzix ribbon die cut, and cut about a 1/4 off and used the remaining 3/4 as the base. I layered colours and patterns that complimented the vibrant floral. The top banner was created by using studio calico stamps I used a banner stamp in memento coco brown, and stamped 'Aileen' in the same ink.. I matted the banner pieces in the same coordinating pieces.. Using a piece of red and white twine to suspend the banner, and additional twine as accents. To finish it off I used some of the coordinating chipboard pieces and metal florals...

After I completed this LO, I posted it on my FB page, and soon after I spent an hour and a bit chatting with my friend A' it was a nice moment scrapbooking, and a better moment chatting...
Has that ever happened to you, when you were scrapbooking about a friend, or a memory, and you became reconnected with that moment?

Happy Wednesday
